Rio, with us between 2015 and 2018.

Rio was a harlequin buck born in 2011. He came to us as his sister Isabella was too difficult to manage and had scratched a child’s face. He lived with Isabella in one of the big enclosures.

He had always been a big solid not particularly active rabbit but since the RHD scare when he was vaccinated he lost a huge amount of weight became increasingly frail,  lost much of his appetite and died without responding to treatment. I wish I hadn’t vaccinated him. Isabella also showed a reaction to the vaccination, although she showed signs sooner and nowhere near as dramatically and seems to have recovered somewhat.
