Nala was a big agouti lionhead doe with one ear up and the other down. She came to us in November 2014 with her partner Kovu, and another pair, after having waited for a place since February, when we were only able to take the single rabbits, Skye and Bambi from her owner whose circumstances had changed drasticly meaning she could no longer keep all her animals. We were told that Nala was born in 2008. She was a very feisty girl and she and Kovu who was her half brother, were not averse to nipping people and were also talented at nipping through gates given any opportunity and going hop about. They were also talented diggers and had an enormous tunnel system that undermined the bank and eventually collapsed in all the rain during 2019 fortunately not while anybun was in it.
Nala enjoyed very good health until spring 2019 when her back legs became weak and she had trouble with her heart and her ears. We had to move her into a shed as she could no longer maanage jumping into a hutch but she hung on all the way through the summer seemingly on sheer willpower but finally left us at the end of October. She will be greatly missed.
